UMA-CNS Open Golf Championship

Asian Tour is marked as one of the prominent golf events, which made its’ comeback in Pakistan after a prolonged pause of 11 years. It has a marked standing of the only pan-Asian qualified golf tour in the Asian continent. The momentous CNS Open golf championship was held in Karachi at Karachi Golf club from 11th-14th October 2018 in collaboration with UMA as the main sponsors. UMA, one of Pakistan’s top five shipping agencies, provides shipping, cargo and marine-related services in the country as well as the region. It, has a strong affiliation with sports particularly golf is evident, having the CEO, Mr. Sohail Shams himself as a golf enthusiast. UMA has played a dynamic role in upholding such advanced actions, to upraise Pakistan’s soft image and development in the world. UMA graciously organized the tournament, starring national and international players alike.

The UMA-CNS Open, hosted international golf professionals from Austria, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Singapore, Thailand, USA and several other countries for the championship. The company has always contributed positively towards country’s efficacious promotion through sports and had earned the honor of being the main sponsor of an event UMA-CNS Asian Tour of international level with the prodigious winning prize money worth $300,000 and received commendations.
